Bradford County is made up of good people with a solid commitment to education.  There are three major issues hindering our schools from being excellent:

  • Student Safety

  • Academic Success, and

  • Communication

  
   
bullet Safety must be a priority even before we set educational goals.  If I am elected, disruptive students will be removed from regular school settings.  Also, each school will develop and follow specific guidelines to ensure student safety.  Accountability measures will be in place to ensure the continuous evaluation of safety plans and that corrective measures are being taken as needed. 
bullet Academic Success will be accomplished with quality teachers.  If elected, every effort will be made to recruit and keep the best and the brightest teachers who are excited about teaching.  Having certified, highly qualified teachers in every classroom will be a main objective.  Those teachers who are being effective in the classroom will know that they are appreciated and will be encouraged to have a voice in the educational process.
bullet Communication will be improved at every level.  If elected, I will personally be in the schools on a regular basis.  Every employee, parent, and community member will be encouraged to voice their opinions and concerns.  The superintendent and other administrators will genuinely listen and act in accordance with the best interest of students
